Karla Dahlstrom joined ProAdvocate Group officially in October 2003 after working with the Founder, Karl L. Dahlstrom, for years.
Prior to October 2003, and early in her career, she entered the banking industry while attending Sam Houston State University. After graduating, she attended Southwestern Paralegal Institute, an ABA-accredited school, in Houston Texas, and was the first graduate to land a position as a paralegal at a law firm in Corpus Christi, Texas. This led to employment at a law firm under the direction of attorneys and judges.
Karla then moved to Dallas in conjunction with taking a position with the Owner and President, a commercial real estate broker and developer, working with the firm for the next 10 years.
In 2003, Karla accepted the position offered by the Founder and Trustee of ProAdvocate Group, Karl L. Dahlstrom, to come aboard full-time. Working with her dad, her learning curve escalated from her previous experience, and she has been with the Association ever since, now known as ProAdvocate Group PMA.
The knowledge, research and the hands-on experience in working with members within a PMA have been challenging, rewarding and with purpose. She continues to help members in forming PMAs and finds solutions for any obstacles that their businesses encounter, keeping up with the latest research, and developing strategies within the ever-changing rules and regulations that business owners and their specific industries present. As she says often, it’s one thing to know the law, it’s another thing to know how to use it.
Karla has always had a great interest in nutrition and enjoys saltwater fishing. One of Karla’s greatest accomplishments has been to act behind the scenes as a coach and cheerleader for members in helping their PMAs evolve, grow and thrive to their full potential.
